This challenge will drastically change your life! You can do this! You can no longer be triggered! Feeling satisfied in your love, joy and abundance can come without the fear of "the other shoe dropping"
Being triggered continuously activates the adrenal system, which means you are always in fight or flight. If this is true, you are never, ever going to feel satisfied because survival becomes the only goal.
Adrenal activation is supposed to be temporary. When we feel triggered all the time, the body never gets to rest. This impacts your health and relationships in every part of your life-- sleep will be disjointed, you might have stomach problems, or you may just feel low levels of constant inflammation and brain fog.
This is because the body is constantly believing that there is a life-threatening situation at hand. Triggers make the body believe that the person must do something or they will die. Even if the original situation was something like a boy ripping up your paper in kindergarten.
No one wants to hang out with someone who is always triggered because they tend to be prickly and come off self-centered.
When you stop reacting to the original trigger, things just stop bothering you.
Your body is no longer in fight or flight all the time. People don't have to dance around your triggers because the same comments or situations just do not bother you anymore. You will even be able to laugh about things that used to make you go from 0-60 in 1.5 milliseconds.
When I talk about this topic, the number one question I get is "But Jaye Anne, why do I have to change? Why do I have to do all the work?"
The truth is, you don't have to change.
Do you want the benefits above? Then try changing. Try healing your triggers. Maybe you will see how you were contributing to the issue. Maybe you will see that you don't like hanging out with some of the people you were spending time with.
If you want something to change, the only person you can change is you.
So healing your triggers, calming your nervous system and releasing that painful feeling that you are always going to die can only help you.
Do you feel constantly triggered?
Do you wish you could feel calm for once?
Are you maybe seeing how your triggers are contributing to your situation?
